Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) manifests itself irrepressibly through irrational thoughts and repetitive behaviour. They have a significant impact on activities of daily living.
Through an ethnographic study, the aim of this thesis project is to provide qualitative and empirical documentation of the impact of OCD on quality of life and social participation. This research is part of the Disability Creation Process (DCP) developed by (Fougeyrollas et al., 2010) and aims to support the performance of everyday activities and the maintenance of social roles.
In a context of anxiety and conditional respect for specific rituals, the home of people with OCD is a difficult terrain for research and intervention.
