The present thesis aims to analyze the structuring of the use of psychedelics in contemporary social fabric by creating a detailed mapping of the social and experiential dynamics involved in the unfolding of the 'psychedelic renaissance.'
In order to engage in this unprecedented discussion, this work proposes to explore three fields impacted by this renaissance, namely (1) the scientific and medical milieu, (2) the communal and associative scene, and (3) the underground community.
The deployed approach is influenced by the sociology of clinical trials, directly derived from Latourian thought, epistemology, and phenomenology. By combining these philosophical prisms with a socio-ethnographic approach, this study will contribute to providing a holistic perspective on the psychedelic renaissance and extracting its challenges and horizons.
