Sciences sociales et santé

Sciences sociales et santé is a quarterly journal in French. Its goal is to encourage dialogue between disciplines in the humanities, the social and the medical sciences. It publishes recent research results that are based on original empirical data, as well as articles suggesting new perspectives derived from analyses of existing research.

Sciences sociales et santé thus proposes wide-ranging reflection on major new health issues: medical ethics, health policy analysis, AIDS, relationships with patients, approaches to care, biomedicine….

Interdisciplinarity and dialogue are at the heart of editorial policy. Each article is strengthened by a commentary written by a specialist from another discipline. The journal becomes a source for sharing knowledge and for cultural enrichment.

Sciences sociales et santé is an independent journal that exists solely thanks to subscriptions. It is supported by the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences at the CNRS.

Anthropologie & Santé

Anthropologie & Santé (subtitle: Revue Internationale francophone d’anthropologie de la santé) is the first international francophone scientific journal devoted to the anthropology of health. Founded in 2010, it is supported by Amades, by the Institut des Sciences Humaines et Sociales du CNRS, and also by two of its research units: Cermes3 and Centre Norbert Elias.

Anthropologie & Santé’s main objective is to present research carried out in the various trends of the field of anthropology of health and illness: critical anthropology of health care practices, health systems and institutions, clinical anthropology, political anthropology of health, applied medical anthropology, etc.

Anthropologie & Santé is a bi-annual, peer-reviewed journal that publishes original articles based on empirical research, methodological and epistemological reflections, theoretical developments, and critical essays. Contributions from both confirmed and young researchers from France or abroad are encouraged. The journal is guided by both an editorial committee and a scientific committee, which ensure the scientific quality of the journal and its editorial line.
