Research

Mounia El Kotni (pronouns : she/her/hers) is a Medical Anthropologist (PhD SUNY Albany, 2016). Her areas of expertise include: healthcare access and discriminations (obstetrics and breast cancer), gender equity and environmental justice, in France and in Mexico. 

She is 2021 winner of the City of Paris Gender Studies grant for the projet "Postpartum experiences in Paris and Mexico: a comparative ethnography" which is hosted at Cermes3 in 2022-2023.
